Cybersecurity Conferences
Educate, Network, and Innovate
My journey in cybersecurity began in 2014, and I soon discovered that the industry's distinctive characteristic lies in its strong sense of community. This is fostered through active participation in conferences such as DEF CON and BlackHat, as well as online social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter). These avenues provide invaluable opportunities for networking and connecting with like-minded individuals.
With that said, I actively engage in the cybersecurity community by speaking at and attending leading conferences such as BSides Pittsburgh, BlackHat, and DEF CON. My commitment to continuous learning ensures my skills remain current in the face of the ever-evolving threat landscape. At DEF CON 32 (2024), I had the privilege of participating in the DARPA-hosted Artificial Intelligence Cyber Challenge (AIxCC). My presentation focused on leveraging AI to augment cyber defense operations by enhancing intrusion detection, accelerating investigations, and expediting threat remediation.
Beyond technical expertise, I find immense satisfaction in coaching and mentoring other cybersecurity professionals. As the lead on consulting engagements, I prioritize fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where team members can grow and excel. I believe in sharing knowledge and empowering others to reach their full potential within the cybersecurity field.
